In addition to being a Canadian Coordinator for Noah's Wish, she is also the Gabriola Emergency Social Services Pet Care Coordinator and the President of Big Heart Rescue, a non-profit group dedicated to helping the companion animals on First Nations Reserves throughout the Province of British Columbia.
Gail shares her home with five dogs, three cats and a very supportive spouse who understands her dedication to disaster response work and the joy this brings to her when she can be of assistance to others.
Vicki McDonald has been with Noah's Wish since April 2003 and is one of the first Canadian Coordinators. She has been deployed to 1 hurricane and 4 fires. As well as being a Coordinator for Noah's Wish, she is also the Emergency Response Pet Coordinator for Creston Emergency Social Services and a member of Creston Kootenay Search and Rescue. Vicki has had extensive pet rescue experience, being a volunteer and foster mom for the registered charity Creston Pet Adoption and Welfare Society since 1997 and its president since 2000.
Fortunately Vicki's husband Jim shares her passion for rescue, for as a Creston PAWS foster, Vicki and Jim share their home with a varying number of dogs, almost always large breeds, and have had as many as 13 dogs in residence at one time. Vicki's own 4 dogs are all rescues, the latest one being Weezie, a little girl from Hurricane Katrina.
Donna has been a Coordinator with Noah’s Wish since 2003. She lives with her family in British Columbia along with five cats and one dog that are all rescues from hurricane Katrina. Donna brings a high level of rescue experience and knowledge to the organization.
Before becoming actively involved with Noah’s Wish, Donna spent 5 years working with the feral cat population in her area and also provided foster care for her local SPCA.
Between disasters, Donna stays busy is a groomer and farmer.
